Khyber Pakhtu­nkhwa government has declared 14 districts most sensitive in wake of flood threat due to monsoon rains.

The government has also directed the deputy commissioners of all districts to take concrete steps before the flood as medicine had been dispatched to the sensitive districts, The Frontier Post learnt on Sunday.

In this regard a notification was also issued according to which Nowshera, Charsadda, Batagram, D.I. Khan, Kohistan, Lakki Marwat, Kohistan, Shangla, Malakand, Swat, Mardan, Swabi and Peshawar districts were declared the most sensitive which would be affected from floods.

The health department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa made 78 mobile teams and 147 fixed teams to cope with any untoward incident.

According to the notification for district Bannu three Ambulances and three mobiles teams would take part in emergencies; in Batagram six ambulances and medicine were also provided to all basic health unit as well as district headquarter hospital; for Charsadda total ambulances were 14; for Dir-Lower eight mobile teams and eight ambulances were take part in emergency situation, for D. I. Khan nineteen ambulances and sixteen mobile teams were take part , in Kohistan district four ambulances and four mobiles team were made ready to take part in flood emergency situation; in Lakki Marwat two mobile teams and eleven ambulances were made functional while in Malakand fourteen ambulances would take part in the flood situation; in district Mardan fourteen ambulances were take part while for district Peshawar twelve mobile teams and ten ambulances were take part in emergency situation while in Swat sixteen mobile teams and fourteen ambulances were take part in emergency like situation during flood.

According to the notification in Peshawar, Mathra, Khazana, Sarband and Hazarkhwani areas were declared the most risky which would affected during on unexpected flood of Moon Soon rain.

Talking to The Frontier Post executive district officer (EDO) Peshawar Waheed Barki said that for expected flood on Moon Soon season as the government has take already precautionary measure as it was discussed in a high level meeting in which all the district officers and officials of the government were directed to take measures before the expected flood in Moon Soon rainy season.

Barki also said that 40 mobile teams were established for Peshawar while medicines were sent to all BHUs and DHQs hospitals.
