Hospitals are meant to provide medical facilities to the ailing community. And for this purpose doctors should work without any disturbance and with every possible facility provided to them. However, doctors at Hayatabad Medical Complex feel insecure as soon as they come out of this government-run health facility. No, the reason is not the law and order situation. It is the stray dogs that wait for them outside the hospital.
Doctors who have evening shifts and night shifts were welcomed by these stray dogs who have not fear in irritating the entering and exiting doctors near the hospital.
A doctor on the condition of anonymity told The Frontier Post that after performing their night duty when the doctors leave for their homes they are confronted by large number of dogs. He said these dogs at times also follow the vehicles of the doctors and the doctors feared that these dogs can bite them anytime.
Another doctor of the hospital said that most of these dogs beat their hunger by eating things from the waste of the hospital which also include human blood and leftovers of the operation theaters. these dogs were eaten the garbage’s of the hospital in which mostly blood of human were available which were good food for them as there growth were increasing day by day and a common man could not be able to go on that side where these dogs were standing.
He also added that they were several time complaints with the hospital authority but still no action was taken.
