Prof. Dr Qibla Ayaz, Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar Monday unveiled the plaque a Research Room named after Dr. Muhammad Anwar Khan here at Area Study Centre (Central Asia) UoP.

Late Dr. Muhammad Anwar Khan, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar and Founder Director, Area Study Centre (Central Asia), University of Peshawar served the cause of Education and Research at this Centre and University for more than four decades.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz VC UoP commended Late Dr. Muhammad Anwar Khan and his services in the field of research. Several initiatives were taken by him to promote research and enlightenment in this part of the world. To acknowledge services of Dr. Muhammad Anwar Khan, Area Study Centre named a Research Room after him.

Deans, Directors of Centres, Heads of various departments of University of Peshawar, senior professors, President of PUTA, former and present research scholars and staff of the Centre were present at the occasion. Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Khan, Director, Area Study Centre (Central Asia), University of Peshawar briefed the participants regarding the contributions of Late Dr. Muhammad Anwar Khan’s to this Centre.
