A doctor of Khyber Teaching Hospital committed suicide on Saturday for unknown reasons. He was found dead inside the Doctors Hostel of the hospital.

Police sources said that one Ahmad filed report that he was roommate of late doctor Khalil ur Rehman son of Shams ur Rehman resident of Chitral adding on Saturday when he entered the room he found his roommate dead. 

He added that a pistol was also placed near the body of the deceased. Sources said that letter was also recovered from the pocket of the late doctor. Cops reached to spot after the incident and took the body of the deceased in their custody and shifted the body to city morgue for postmortem.

Late Dr. Khalil was doing his house job in Khyber Teaching Hospital. Meanwhile, City police claimed to have arrested 95 suspects and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunitions in joint search operation in the limits of Pishtakhara Police Station on Saturday.

On the direction of CCPO Liaqat Ali Khan, SP Cantt formed a team under supervision of DSP Hayatabad Banaras Khan, SHO Pishtakhara Behram Khan, DSP Regi Sahibzada Sajaad and ASP Cantt Bilal Zafar. The team raided on various areas of Pishtakhara during operation and arrested 95 suspects.

Cops also recovered four SMGs, one rifle, one repeater, three pistols, 351 rounds, four motorcycles, one kg hashish and one-bottle of alcohol. The search operation was conducted over the reaction of killing of policeman on Friday.
