
Khyber Medical University (KMU)Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah has said that after reformation in the syllabus and examination structure of Medical Sciences, the university intended to introduce reforms in the course training and services structure of Nursing, Paramedical Sciences Physiotherapy and Prostahetics .
Vice Chancellor was talking to one-day workshop entitled “Allied Health Sciences” organized by KMU in the Varsity on Friday.
Director Academics Professor Dr. Shad Mohammad and Registrar Dr. Fazal Mahmood were also present on the juncture. Chief Guest Dr. Hafizullah said that KMU was trying her best to bridge the gulf between Medical and Allied Health Sciences.
He said that they have been taking positive steps in this regard for the last five years. The VC said that nursing and physiotherapy were the deprived sectors and KMU not only has given these separate status but had started BS Hon’s program in both institutes of these sectors.
Dr. Hafizullah also said that Doctors, Paramedics, Nurses and Physiotherapist were the four pillars of Health and they have decided to give equal importance to every pillar.
