The Khyber Agency political administrators have claimed to have suspended several Khasadars and a Naib subedar on negligence of duties and inquiry initiated.

Assistant Poltical Ageny Jamrud Jahangir Azam Wazir, while talking to the local media persons at his office on Sunday said after the growing attacks on Nato trucks they had issued strict orders to the Khasadar force and levies to provide foolproof security to the drivers traveling on the road within the limits of Khyber Agency. 

Wazir claimed to have conducted surprise visits at mid-night time and found dozens of Khasadars absent from their duty spots. He said a Naib subedar Hamid Afridi, was also among the absents hence suspended. He revealed the Naib Subaidar Hamid had hired 27 private persons for his own services while he himself rarely was performing his duty.

“I have sent Hamid case to the Khyber Agency political agent office and charged with corruption and irregularities while at the same time inquiry had been initiated against him,” Jahangir said.

“Those government employees had no right to draw salaries from the national exchequer who had no love for the motherland” the APA said adding he would not let any employee to violate official rules and regulations. He said after the attack on Nato consignments’ in which two truckers were killed extra security personnel were deployed on the road.

To a question APA said that Hamid had appointed his private servants while they were being paid from the salaries of regular Khasadars. 

Meanwhile,APA displayed the explosives(potassium cholorate) recovered on Saturday at Begyari checkpost. Jahangir Azam said they had foiled a big terrorism bid by seizing the explosive.

However,he avoid to disclose that where the explosives was being shifted and what the arrested persons said during initial interrogation.He said that it was a bold action of the line officer Khandad afridi who acted on time and safe people’s lives.
