Minister for Information and Transport Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Saturday visited Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway and checked the new intra-city fares.
He talked to different passengers who complained about transporters charging high fares. Mian Iftikhar showing anger on the complaints of the passengers and took the extra fare from the transporters and give it back to the passengers. It is pertinent to mention that after the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan to reduce the CNG prices the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also announced cut in the fares of the public transport. The transporters were also fined for charging high fares.
Mian Iftikhar also warned transporters for charging high fares otherwise strict action would be taken against them. Meanwhile, Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that terrorist and militants were targeting our Mosques, Shrine and were killing our elders, women and innocent children.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that that the terrorists will never succeeded in their failure attempts and we will protect our land for rending sacrifices, he added. This he said on Saturday in a joining procession of former district nazim Daud Khattak and Leader of Khattak Qumi Jirga Jahanzeb Khattak.
On the occasion Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa give the sacrifices of their sons for the sovereignty of the country. Iftikhar Hussain said that the ANP will win the next general election on the basis of their performance.
He also said that on Jalozai Grade Station work will be stated soon and for this purpose land is already reserved and on the construction of housing societies the people of the area life standard would be changed.
