The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department would establish a new surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar which would be completed in September, 2013 in next year.This was said by deputy medical superintendent at LRH Dr.Adnan Taj while talking with The Frontier Post on Saturday.

He said that as in LRH already General ICU with seven beds are working but because of the patients problems and burden on the hospital the government take an initiative to establish a new general ICU unit of twelve  beds.Dr.Adnan added that six billion rupees fund had already given by Senator Ilyas Bilour while the inauguration ceremony had been held on 15 Spetember, 2011.

He also added that Medical and Allied ward would be also established in LRH which would be completed in three years under the ADP scheme.Dr.Adnan further said that 2.5 billion rupees fund has been allocated for the Medical and Allied wards by the government.He also added that every department including Nephrology ward, Chest patient ward, Feeding  and pregnancy ward, Children, Orthopedic and Surgical ward would be established while in every ward there is separate special intensive care unit would be available to every ward.Dr.Adnan said that the government is working on different project and take all initiative in the health sector to give every opportunity of health to their citizen.

He added that the government give all the facilities to the hospital and especially to the LRH hospital because it is the big hospital of the province and deal all the patients of terrorist victims.
