Chief Minster Ameer Hiader Khan Hoti on Friday said that the issue of unemployment could only be addressed by reviving economic activities and development of industrial sector. Talking to representative delegates of various areas at his office, he said that due to certain limitations, the government could not increase employment opportunities, adding, impetus of economic activities and strengthening of the industrial segment was indispensable to achieve the goal.

Chief Minister said that government had introduced different public facilitation programmes including Baacha Khan Rozgar Scheme, Hunarmand Rozgar Scheme for enabling people to earn bread and butter for their families in a respectable way. 

He said that the government had recently introduced a special scheme of long-term loans for the establishment of new industries besides augmentation of agro based industrial units that would also help lower the unemployment index.

Hoti said that the program of mechanized farming was of significant importance as it aimed to increase the production of agriculture sector by providing equipments and machinery to farmers on subsidized rates.
