
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council has decided that the lawyers will boycott on Wednesday (today) against the Judicial Policy of the Supreme Court to subordinate courts for disposal of the cases of before 2000, by September 30. The Peshawar High Court in the light of the instruction of the Supreme Court, sent order to district and session judges on Sep 17 asking them to convey to all the judges of the subordinate’s courts to dispose old case filed before the year 2000.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council in a meeting have asked authorities of Judicial Policy makers that the policy was not about speedy provision of justice rather it was meant to speedy disposal of cases which will affected their work. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council is demanding the amendment of Judicial Policy because the current policy will affected the work of the layers community.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council directed all the Bars of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to arrange meetings with the lawyers and sent their quarries and suggestion about the said policy to the Bar Council so that it could take the matter with the proper authorities. The bar also asked lawyers to boycott the courts as decided.
