
Khyber Pakthunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said Sunday that democracy was the best system that could bring colossal positive changes in people life style due to its continuity and through electing good and honest leadership.
He said democracy was panacea of all problems faced by the country’s today and urged people to elect honest and sincere leadership in the upcoming general elections, who had sacrificed for ensuring durable peace and protection of their lives and properties.
Addressing an oath-taking function of Pabbi Press Club, the Minister said terrorists have neither religion nor a faith and was organized on international level by making terrorism in every country and have not spared any one.
He said despite terrorists’ attacks on the leadership and workers of Awami National Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, JUI-F, Tehrik-e-Insaf and Pakistan Peoples Party, civilians were also not spared and were martyred.
The ANP leader urged people to vote for those forces who have the courage and determination to fight militancy and terrorism for establishment of durable peace in the society.
He said terrorists wanted to forcefully capture the parliament in order to impose their unlawful and un-islamic agenda on people.
Mian Iftikhar said people of Pakistan would foil their nefarious designs and will elect honest, genuine and sincere representatives having the desire and courage to stand up against the evil and dark forces.
He said no political party can match the sacrifices of ANP in war against terrorism.
The provincial minister has said that unfortunately our society was being ruled on adhoc-ism since the last 65 years, saying Pakistan has come into existence in the name of Islam, but neither we could implement the Islamic system; nor we have become the socialist and real democratic.
In our neighbouring countries, he said Iran, China and India had made tremendous progress due to establishment of a powerful Islamic, socialist and democracy system in their countries respectively.
On the other hands, he said due to adhocism, we still away from our goals and dreams envisioned by our forefathers and are confronted with different challenges like terrorism.
