Awami National Party Provincial President Senator Afrasiab Khattak has said that ANP’s defeat in the general elections was part of conspiracy against ANP.

Afrasiab Khattak talking to The Frontier Post said ANP would bounce reenter the doors of the parliament soon.

Afrasiab said that despite several time their party wanted security from the government but the Election Commission and the Care-taker government were failed to provide them security, “it seems that some one wanted to bring other party here as it was practically done,” Afrasiab added.

He also appreciated the candidate courage and determination of the party workers who campaigned for the party by taking serious risks to their lives. Our activists, apart from burying the dead bodies of their near and dear ones, also campaigned and voted for the party amidst terrorist attacks on them. 

The party will remember their services and sacrifices for ever, he added. Afrasiab said that ANP give the sacrifice of hundred workers but not compromise on their principles and in the future they will offered more sacrifice for their country if need was required, adding that ANP has a decades history. 

On a query about the comments of Begum Nasim Wali Khan, Afrasiab said that he did not say any thing about her comments as she is an aged lady and I respect her always. 

Afrasiab further said that ANP accept and respect the mandate of PTI as it is a democratic process as people want change and they were give their vote to PTI, adding that we will also be observed that how the PTI will face the challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and would solve the problem of militancy and terrorism. 

He said that a meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the party, to be held on the 16th of May, in Islamabad in which the party will chalk out the future planning.
