Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, is further broadening its international network with the introduction of a new flight from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar, beginning on 29 September 2025.

The new service will connect Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport (PEW), seamlessly linking passengers to Etihad’s expanding global flight network.

Peshawar, a city celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and historical significance, serves as a key transit point for both domestic and international travelers. With its strategic airport infrastructure, Peshawar enhances connectivity, catering to business and leisure needs alike. This route will join Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore as Etihad’s fourth direct connection to Pakistan.

Operating with its state-of-the-art Airbus A320 family aircraft—featuring eight Business Class seats and 150 Economy seats—Etihad ensures passengers will experience its award-winning in-flight service. Initially, the route will run five times a week, with plans to increase to daily flights starting from 22 November 2025.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, stated, “We are thrilled to further expand our presence in Pakistan with the launch of our daily service between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar. This new route reflects our commitment to providing vital connectivity for travellers between Pakistan and the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America. In addition to new flights to Peshawar, we are boosting our frequency to Karachi to 17 flights a week from 1 October.”

This expansion comes on the heels of adding Addis Ababa to Etihad’s network and marks its sixteenth new destination in 2025. Along with Peshawar, Etihad has unveiled plans for routes to Prague, Warsaw, Algiers, Tunis, and Atlanta, while increasing flight frequencies to major European cities such as Paris, Milan, Manchester, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Madrid.

Additionally, Etihad’s Abu Dhabi Stopover programme now offers travellers the chance to explore the city with up to two complimentary nights at premium hotels, turning layovers into memorable experiences.
