Entrepreneurship is something that gushes through the Pukhtoon blood from centuries. The shouts of Pukhtoon merchants in the major markets of Pakistan, is not something new, though there’s a rising need for the evolution of their marketing systems. Young Pukhtoon entrepreneurs like Ahmed Khattak, co-founder of ‘GSM nation’, a million dollar company, are a great example for the youth. Other than this, Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khanum , founder of Cotcom, a textile company, is an excellent role model for the Pukhtoon sisters. Young Pukhtoons need to step ahead and compete with the evolving markets of today.

The Pukhtoons need upgrade their companies as well as expand them. Though, one major factor in the Pukhtoon region of Pakistan is the lack of proper business education, as such even the new graduates of high ranking universities of Peshawar, with an MBA degree, don’t meet the standards. In fact, some graduates don’t even understand, what entrepreneurship means?

As such, one can understand why the province of Pukhtoonkhwa lacks major investment or even yields less nationwide companies as compared to other Provinces. Lastly, my humble request to the Pukhtoon youth would be to get themselves together, and excel in the business field. Though keeping in line with traditions; as Imran Khan once said

We need modernization not westernization". 

So, be who you are, and never forget that the Pukhtoons are race that are born to fight, fight in every field to the top, let it be business, science or anything.
