120 Internet Protocol (IP) Cameras out of which 60 are Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) and 60 fixed would be installed within various areas city for free flow of traffic.

Addressing a joint press conference in Gulbahar Traffic Police Office on Monday SSP Traffic Asif Iqbal Mohmand and DSP Asghar Khan said that people facing a lot of problems due to heavy traffic in city. They added that traffic problems was increased in city keeping in view of these problems they chalked out a comprehensive traffic plane to reduced these problems.

They said that they would install 120 IP cameras in city to avoid any untoward incidents and to diminished road mishaps. They added that through these cameras those who violate the traffic rules, legal action would be taken against them.

SSP Asif Iqbal said that they also talked to Excise Department and decided that action would be taken after June 10 against those people who drive unregistered, out pattern number plates and without number plates vehicles and motorcycles he also appealed to registered their vehicles before 10th of this month other wise action would take against them.

DSP Traffic Asghar Khan said that they challened 31,514 vehicles and collected 9,040500 rupees fine from them and submit into government treasure.

He said that they also pointed out many roads to concerned authorities for installation of tyre busters in order to control the one way violation where they did not have nay deployment. DSP while talking to media men said that they also took action against encroachments in city and registered 835 cases and 2880 accused were arrested in this regards adding that not only that they also challaned 1600 overloaded vehicles and received 320000 rupees fine from them.

SSP Asif Iqbal and DSP Asghar Khan demanded of the government to provide them latest equipments including, fork lifters, Traffic sign boards of reflecting vehicles, simulators, recovery vehicles wheel jammer etc.
