Political administration exceeded all limits of injustices, unfairness and cruelty by unleashing the Khasadar force personnel to loot the tribal transporters at Torkham, the detained Transport Union Leader Farid Ullah Afridi alleged.
Transport Union Leader Farid Ullah Afridi requested the newly appointed tribal Governor Engineer Shaukat Ullah to take notice of the wide spread corruption at Torkham border and other check posts which has created multifaceted problems for the tribal transporters.
The KKF personnel on the directions of Torkham Passport Officer and Naib Tehsildar Torkham Meraj Khan had allegedly begun exploitation of the tribal transporters at Torkham Station.
The political administration put behind the bars four tribal transport union leaders in Landikotal on Friday for their alleged involvement to create problems for the authorities.
The tribal transport union leaders under the leadership of Farid Ullah Afridi had reportedly sought help of APA Landikotal Khalid Mumtaz Kundi to work for streamlining the traffic at Torkham voluntarily so that transporters could not suffer there, but the local Torkham Administration charged the union leaders for taking money and occupying the land of Khuga Khel, an administration clerk told.
But the transport union leaders had out rightly rejected these allegations as baseless and counter attacked the administration for looting the transporters through various routes at Torkham.
The transport union leaders had warned the administration to stop its malpractices and corruption; otherwise, the transport union would be obliged to give a call for protest against the political authorities at Torkham. This unfair game could no longer be tolerated, Farid Allah Afridi vowed, warning to give a call for protest at Torkham and in Landikotal to make it public.
“Jails cannot press our voices for rights and justice,” the transport union leaders concluded.
