Lawyers’ community on Monday boycotted the courts proceedings against the Quetta bomb blasts and demanded the government to provide protection to the people.

Peshawar High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association in their general body meeting strongly condemned the bomb blasts and killing of more than one hundred people in Quetta. 

Vice President of Peshawar High Court Bar Association Babar Yousafzai presided over the meeting, which was addressed by senior lawyers in which they said that providing protection to the people was the prime job of the government however unfortunately government in Balochistan badly failed to protect the people. They while offering Fatiha for the departed souls of those killed in Quetta said that Islam did not permit killing of innocents. 

They demanded the government to provide protection to the people in Balochistan and arrest the culprits involved in such a heinous crime of bombing and targeting a particular community in Balochistan. Lawyers did not appear in the courts and expressed solidarity with the Hazara community of Quetta.
