
As the prices of per kg flour have increased manifold in most parts of the province including the provincial capital, people are finding it hard on their already stretched budget to buy the commodity.
The rates of 20 KG flour bag have increased 100 rupees with 5 to 8 rupees increase per kilogram in different markets and bazaars of the provincial capital.
The public and social circles of Peshawar have raised serious concern over increase in the prices of flour and requested the government to take effective measures to ensure the commodity at economical rates to the masses and to work out a mechanism for uniformity in rates of essential food items in the country.
People have opined that the recent increase in the prices of flour was an added financial burden on poor masses, who are already finding it hard to meet both ends.
