An ANP spokesman on Friday strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by PTI leader, Imran Khan, against ANP Chief, Asfandiyar Wali Khan, at a public meeting. He said the achievements of the Pakhtun leader and the sacrifices for the Pakhtun nation were crystal clear before the nation. In a statement, he said the legendary struggle of Baacha Khan’s family was well acclaimed and the allegations of Imran merely reflected his political immaturity.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers were desserting the party because of Imran’s lack of political acumen. He said that so far Imran Khan had not given a clarification regarding the donation of Shaukat Khanam Memorial Trust and neither had he clarified the reason for the chaos among his colleagues.
He claimed that Imran Khan was contaminating the political atmosphere by his baseless allegations and creating an impression that all the political parties of the country were corrupt. He said that majority of new entrants in PTI had changed their political loyalties.
The spokesman said that ANP was heading towards a better future and had a glorious past. He viewed that it did not need any kind of support unlike PTI. He said that the PTI was free to go to court if he had any proof of corruption against the ANP leader.
