An Afghan trader was stabbed to death, and his brother was critically injured, following a verbal altercation over a business transaction in the cantonment area.

According to the police, prominent Afghan garment traders Muhammad Jawed and Muhammad Adil were traveling in their car towards Akora Khattak when, near Hakimabad, three to four armed assailants, equipped with knives, blocked their vehicle. Following a verbal dispute, the assailants severely injured both brothers by repeatedly stabbing them and then fled.

Rescue 1122 shifted both Afghan traders to Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex Nowshera in critical condition, where Muhammad Adil succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The condition of the other brother is also reported to be critical. A case has been registered at Nowshera Cantt police station, and the police have launched a search for the accused.
