Despite free of cost diagnoses treatment facilities of tuberculosis (TB) treatment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alarming number of 8,707 patients are being registered in the government hospitals of the province every year. District Tuberculosis Control Officer Dr Taj Mujammad more work should be done on awareness on the disease and not only the government but the social welfare organizations should also come forward for the cause. He also added that TB is a dangerous disease and if not proper treated it will also create lung cancer.
