The President FATA Football Association Shahid Khan Shinwari, who is also Secretary General of FATA Olympic Association Friday announced an 18-member football team for the forthcoming Punjab Youth Games to be commencing from November 6, 2012.

The selection committee headed by Shahid Khan Shinwari himself with other members comprising Nisar Khan (FR Kohat), Event Manager Directorate of Sports FATA Ayub Khan and former footballer Anwar Ali Shinwari thoroughly witnessed all the 112 players appeared in the two-day trials held at Sumbal Khan Footaball ground, Qayyum Sports Complex and among them announced the names of final 18-member team including team coach Anwar Ali Shinwari and team Manager Nisar Khan.

The names of the football players selected to represent FATA in the football event including Junaid Khan and Jamil Khan (Goal-Keeper), Zagar Khan, Hafiz Ullah Shah, Javed Khan, Nawaz Gul, Akbar, Iftikhar, Sadam, Asif, Lawat Shah, Niaz Muhammad (Captain), Noorzeb, Rashad Shinwari, Mustafa and Ashfaq Khan Afridi. Anwar Ali will act as coach while Nisar Shinwari will be the manager of the team. The FATA contingent will leave for Lahore on November 5, 2012.
