A meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa youth policy was held at Khyber Medical College conference hall with the joint efforts of Sports Ministry, Tourism, Archaeology, Youth Affairs, Bargad (an organization for youth development) and United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA) in which it was unanimously agreed that it was high time a youth development foundation would be set up in the province for the uplift of the youth. 

The programme was conducted by Dr. Shahbbaz Israr, program officer Bargad, Dr.Maryam Alam, consultant youth policy Bargad and Zahoor Durrani, consultant Youth Development program TCKP.

The daylong meeting was attended by over 25 participants, mostly university students, hailing from various parts of the province.

The participants expressed their concerns on the problems facing the youth and deliberated upon their solutions. 

They highlighted the issue of education, skill development, student counseling, job opportunities, travel & tourism related facilities for students, especially females, security and law and order, availability of scholarship for higher education, inter-province student exchange programmes, formation of provincial youth assemblies and lastly youth seminars and purposeful outdoor activities.
