Flag hoisted on 15th Aug 2011 by Bilour in Jinnah Park

Khyber Pakhtunkhawa government has shifted August 14 flag raising ceremony from Jinnah Park to police line in the wake of deteriorating law and order situation in the province. 

Now the flag raising ceremony will be held in police line Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti would raise the national flag and afterward a contingent of police will give guard honour to the chief Minster
The venue was shifted from Jinnah Park in the light of security reservation forwarded by law enforcement agencies. 
Preparations are under way for the Independence Day celebration at police line security clearance has been made mandatory for the participation.
