Three militants were killed in a search operation conducted by the forces in the night between Sunday and Monday in Cantt. Area here, while two security men were also martyred.

Police said that security forces conducted search operation for several hours at R.A. Bazar and State Life Chowk in Peshawar Cantt. Sources said that a few militants had escaped from the custody of the forces and the operation was conducted for their arrests.

During the operation all the three run away militants were killed, sources said.

Two explosions were also heard late at night from operation site. A sense of fear and harassment galore in the city, following hours of operation, while all roads leading to Catt. remained closed.
