The Afghan boy, whose home-made plastic Messi shirt went viral on social media, finally met his favourite football star on Tuesday. Murtaza Ahmadi had earlier received a signed shirt from the Argentine football star but now his dream came true in Doha when he met Messi
The Barcelona attacker, whose club is visiting the country to play a friendly against Al Ahli, was all smiles when he saw Murtaza. Messi picked him up to pose for photographs. “The image the world wanted to see,” tweeted the Supreme Committee on Tuesday. “The six-year old boy who dreamed of meeting his hero, #Messi, finally comes true.”
Earlier, the six-year-old Murtaza, who comes from the Jaghori District, arrived in Quetta, Pakistan, due to life threats.
