
Ambassador of France to Pakistan, Philippe Thiebaud has approved 90 fully funded French government-sponsored scholarships to financially needy but talented students of the Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar, Quaid-e-Azam University, COMSATS Islamabad, IBM Karachi, SBK Women University, Quetta and GCU Lahore.
The total financial impact of this project is euros 188,142. The scholarships will be awarded for the disciplines of Business Administration, Architecture and Social Sciences in four years undergraduate and two years graduate level programmes.
This decision was formalised in a Memorandum of Understanding ceremony held in French Embassy Islamabad.Along with the Vice-Chancellors of the participating universities, Chairman Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Dr Javaid Laghari and staff of HEC Scholarship Management Unit (SMU), Director Institute of Management Sciences, Dr Muhammad Mohsin Khan attended the distinctive Need Based Scholarship Programme MoU signing ceremony.
The director IMSciences appreciated the efforts of the French government and Higher Education Commission for awarding the 90 scholarships.
