About 80, 000 security personnel would be stationed at sensitive polling stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the wake of soaring violence in the province.

About 80, 000 security personnel would be stationed at sensitive polling stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the wake of soaring violence in the province.

According to reports, the caretaker government was working on a special security plan in the restive province.

Following an all-party conference held by the provincial government to discuss the security issue, FC troops deployed in other provinces had been immediately called back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Under the security plan, public meetings had been banned in densely inhabited areas. While at least 12 security personnel would guard every sensitive polling station.

According to administration, security measures were being taken in consultation with political parties.

In addition, the KP government had started preparing lists to deploy five security guards for each election candidate.
