Ten days old infant was kidnapped by an unidentified woman on Tuesday night from Lady Reading Hospital, the parents of the baby said.

Sheheryar, father of the child, resident of Mashogagar said that he had brought his wife for treatment to Gynae A ward of LRH on Monday after she had developed some complications after the birth of their child Muhammad Huzaifa.

He said on Tuesday night at 11.30 a woman presenting her self a hospital nurse entered the ward and turned the lights off. After sometime when my wife who was sleeping with the baby opened her eyes she found the baby missing, the worried father expressed.

Sheheryar blamed that the staff of the hospital including doctors and nurses of the ward were involved in the heinous crime, adding that this was not the first time in LRH that a baby was stolen from the ward many cases had happened before but no enquiry was conducted or given punishment to the culprits.

He demanded and said that if his baby was not recovered he would lodge FIR against the doctors and nurses of the hospital and if any mishap happened to his son all staff of the hospital would be responsible for it.

Meanwhile Chief Executive of LRH Dr Arshad Javed came to the Gynae Ward along with MS of the hospital said that this was a serious matter for the hospital administration to deal with.

He also added that a three members enquiry committee was formed which were comprises on RMO Doctor Jalil and Senior Registrar Dr Fawad.

He also added that the enquiry committee would submit its report in 48 hours, adding that those who were involved in the incident would be dealt strictly.

Meanwhile FIR was lodged in Kabli Police station for the missing baby against unknown lady.
