Waqas Khan, a software engineer from Peshawar, has ranked in top 10 iOS and Android app developers nationally in the leading freelancing platform, Upwork.
Currently working as iOS engineer at Chess.com, Waqas Khan – a graduate of GIKI, started his career as a game developer and founded his game studio, Half Fried Games. Games developed by Waqas at Half Fried Games were featured in top charts and featured by Apple Appstore and Google Play.
He went on to join IQFriends as a cofounder and game engineer. IQFriends is a brain training company incubated & funded by China Accelerator, Launchub, Microsoft AppCampus and Startup Brasil. Waqas has ranked 4th most outstanding individual in the world at Web Summit, Ireland.
Waqas is a common face when it comes to the local tech scene, and is always found encouraging freshers to take their own initiates. We asked Waqas to share advice for the followers of our page and here is what he has to say:
“It seems a decent number of freshers are investing their time in building skills that are too short termed. Either they’re falling for the “get rich quick” scams or they lack guidance.
Regardless, it’s important to understand that if you’re giving something your time, it should help you grow in the long run.”
